Days 1-3
We’ll first visit Borders, a rich and beautiful area of Scotland, to see Abbotsford House and gardens (the 19th Century home of Sir Walter Scott). Then off to Peebles on the River Tweed for 3 nights to enjoy stunning landscapes, rich history, ancient ruins, and great music every evening.
Day 4-6
North to Nairn, a lovely seaside village in the Highlands to visit Cawdor Castle, Clava Cairns, explore Rait castle ruins, enjoy walks on the beach, and great music in the evenings.
Day 7-8
In Dunkeld – in the heart of Scotland – legends are born and authors are inspired. We’ll day trip to Stirling to explore the tales of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, walk through Birnam Wood, made famous in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, hike the Birks of Aberfeldy, and soak up this enchanting village.
Day 9
Back to Edinburgh, with a scenic village lunch stop along the way, a farewell dinner sharing favorite memories, and maybe a song or two.
