My birthday, June 19, 2011:

Happy birthday to me, and thank goodness for Facebook...I'd almost forgotten!

Thank you Facebook. I feel VERY popular this year ;-)

Concert, June 18, 2011:

Celebrating Sir Paul McCartney's birthday at Three Fish & a Ram Community Art Center in Cape Cod!

Cape Cod! I can't believe it, I'm going back for my first concert in the area! That's June 18, 7pm - mark your calendar. You'd better believe I'll be playing "Ram On" by Paul on the ukulele. There will be local performers playing a song circle after my set. Come see me and join in the fun!

Wednesday, May 18, 2011:

Glen Roethel party music website - click here for fun

Acoustic guitarist/vocalist/ukulele-ist/entertainer Glen Roethel - spontaneous, exciting and energetic, "like 1000 tiny fun bombs going off all at once!" - is a rare performer often described as "sweet," "motivating,"" "energizing," but most folks appreciate that Glen is a singer-songwriter with a penchant for positive, intentional lyrics, a devout music community builder, a passionately-in-love husband and a generous, welcoming performer. His songs and music have been heard on TV, nationally syndicated commercial radio, college and international radio. To his credit are two self-produced, independent CDs (From Beginning to End, Smaller Things [Inspireline]), co-creation of AcousticMusicScene.com, guitar and song coaching at Summersongs.com and at the SoundConnections Conference in Missouri. Recently he achieved songwriter contest finalist for the Susquehanna Music & Arts Festival, he saw his song "Namaste'" featured in a multi-media exhibit at the Presidential Museum in Texas for three months, and another, "People of the Earth" published in a New Thought songbook for The Association of Unity Churches International. [Another new track, "Morning Prayer" will appear in a new Unity Worldwide Ministries songbook titled Something Wonderful in 2011.]

Glen's live shows delight audiences with guitar wizardry, vocal proficiency and soothing melodic tones. In 2009 he brought his guitar skills to the Posi Awards house band, and again in 2011; he has performed at faith- and peace-oriented events in the U.S., and folks here, in Europe, China and Japan have all enjoyed his songs and engaging performances on radio, at retreats, benefits, concerts and conferences. His folk-rock harmony trio, Gathering Time has released one full-length CD to high acclaim, and three singles - the latest of which, "Red Apples & Gold," the title track from the trio's upcoming release, ranked number 7 on the Folk-DJ singles chart in November 2010.
